Artist Statement

My paintings offer the viewer a window into my life. My surroundings were an eclectic mix of engaging visual treats for my senses.

I am interested in the history of objects and the familiarity I feel when I look at them, they hold a connection to people, places and time. My belongings hold family associations, they hold an individual narrative linking to memory, meaning and emotion.

Within the paintings I am presenting a new version of my past as well as creating a new life for the objects within a different, altered interior.
